This everyday hero of a young man donates his fun, colorful creations to animal shelters. The stylish bow ties help attract potential owners and they are a great addition to a cute photoshoot of cats and dogs eagerly awaiting their future owners. Darius also has a GoFundMe page to help his cause, he puts these earnings toward his mission.

Darius Brown had some struggles to face early on in his life. At the young age of 2, doctors discovered that he had speech impediment issues and fine motor skills delay. This didn’t affect him in becoming a kind and loving person in any way, though. He was adamant in learning how to assist people (or in his case, pets) and he did so when he started helping his older sister with fabrics. He quickly discovered his talent and started putting it to good use!
Could you imagine that he ended up founding a company? Because that’s what Darius Brown did when he was just 11 years old! His label “Beaux & Paws” creates matching bow ties for pets and their owners. A large portion of his company is focused on donations and giving back to the community, making Darius a very successful entrepreneur with more than 40.000 followers on Instagram.
Running a business and working by hand at the same time, Darius is involved in all aspects of the production! He is amazingly skilled at crafts – each bow tie is made with love and care.
Natural disasters inspired Darius to try and do more when it comes to helping shelter animals. During Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, 2 years ago, lost and abandoned pets had an even harder time finding homes, due to the lack of shelters and potential owners. Many had to be euthanized.
Darius couldn’t just sit by without doing anything – he already had his crafty skills at hand and started donating these cute accessories in the hopes of attracting attention to this issue. His actions helped thousands of pets since then!
Darius handpicks all the cute materials and fabrics to work with. His hard work paid off unexpectedly, as he even received honors from a very special person!
Darius is on a mission to inspire others to be more selfless and volunteer to help, if possible. He encourages everyone to pursue their dreams, whatever they might be. He was recognized by many prestigious organizations, such as receiving the Jasmina Anema Youth Award from the “Black Cotton Foundation” this year.
As you can see, the bow ties range from fashionable and sparkly to funny and colorful. Everyone can find the exact style to fit their personality!
Darius has an incredibly supportive family, including his older sister Dazhai. She was the one who had the idea to help him with crafts, in the hope of developing his motor skills. She also proposed the idea of a funding campaign to aid Darius in visiting other states to volunteer at shelters.
Dazhai says that his brother is her main source of inspiration and she will continue to stand beside him and help him any way she can!
